Arts Beach in Saint-Cyprien - France

Our opinion on the Arts Beach

Arts Beach in St Cyprien (also called Nord Beach) is located to the north of this seaside destination going toward Canet-Plage near the Tropical Golf course and the Canet pond. This is the largest beach in St Cyprien with areas as wide as 130 meters! This beach has a lifeguard in the summer and is handicap accessible. We also find a zone to practice sailing sports. Dogs are not authorized here.

Why Art Beach? Art is a Catalan word meaning fishing net that was dropped by a boat at 100 meters from the beach and pulled by hand to bring in fish that were sold right after catching them. This practice took place up until the 1950s before the harbor was constructed. We can still participate in reconstitutions by the locals at the end of June.

You can access this beach by taking D81A (boulevard Francois Desnoyer) toward Canet. We find a parking lot as we get closer to the sea (across from a service station). We find a second parking lot after Tropical Golf at the roundabout (port de Cipriano).
