At the point of Cride Beach in Sanary-sur-Mer, there are a few small pebble coves. The most interesting ones are located left of the point just before the sewage treatment plant (unfortunately, it is quite disturbing because of the smell it gives off). The main bay is nice but it is advisable to wear shoes when swimming. Not very crowded even in the summer season.
To get to these coves, go to the tip point of Cride (you can do so from Portissol Beach then take Boulevard Frederic Mistral and reach avenue de la Corniche). A free shaded car park just before the point. A 5-minute walk to reach the coves. Note that access is tricky, you must climb some rocks (not suitable for the elderly).
