Boucanet Beach in Grau du Roi is located to the west of downtown. This beach stretches from La Grande Motte to Rive Droite Beach, almost three kilometers of sand. We find two zones with lifeguards on this beach. One is in front of the hospital of Grau du Roi, coming from La Grande-Motte near the pinewood of Boucanet and the other is on Boulevard Jean Bastide. Only the first zone is labeled as handicap accessible.
The general environment of this beach is agreeable and there are a few small dunes and a nice width of sand.
This is an ideal beach for kids because the beach slopes slightly in the water. We are far by foot. Note that we find a private beach with mattress rentals.
