Situated at the mouth of the Aude, the Cabanes de Fleury Beach offers a wilderness setting with a virgin beach (no construction). This beach is cleaned and supervised during the summer season near the dam (however it is very dirty off-season because of the Grau). In the direction of Saint-Pierre-sur-Mer, the beach becomes more untamed and less crowded (there are also nudist areas).
At the small port of Cabanes de Fleury, there are several shops and restaurants. Some seasonal accommodations are available but there are mostly campsites.
The beach is about 10 km from the centre of Saint-Pierre-sur-Mer. Take the Boulevard des Embruns then at the roundabout turn right towards Cabanes de Fleury. Follow the road for 4 km. At the stop, turn right. Follow the river Aude for 4 km and pass through the village of Cabanes. The beach car park is after the port.
