Located at the foot of the Massif des Pradels, between Cap Cavalaire and Cap Lardier, Cavalaire sur Mer is found at the end of a bay and offers a long, four kilometer, fine sand beach to vacationers. Between Le Lavandou and La Croix-Valmer and less than 20 kilometers from St Tropez, it is a known destination in the department Var (South of France) for the beauty of its landscapes and several activities such as kayak and sailing. It attracts divers as well who appreciate discovering the seabed where we can find shipwrecks, making this one of the most frequented spots of the area. On the hills of the village, the vestiges of the Oppidum Ligure, an old refuge and meeting place, look over the bay and make a pretty walk.
We find several beaches in Cavalaire sur Mer, from the large familial beach to the little secret calanque. The beaches Bonporteau and Grand Plage are frequented by families but there is a beautiful calanque just in the middle that gives a wild aspect while still being accessible by following our directions. You will still need to take the steep paths to get to here, unless you prefer to come by boat! To the east of the city, at the border of the beaches of La Croix Valmer, we find Pardigon Beach that is totally preserved. To the west are the preserved beaches of Rayol-Canadel that allow us to swim in the hilly landscape.
