The beach of Montilles of Port la Nouvelle(also known asSouth Beach or beach of the Côte Vermeille) is a totally unspoilt beach which extends from Place Paul Gauguin (near the lifeguard station n°3) to Coussoules Beach in Leucate. This beach is not supervised; caution should be exercised. There are two areas. The first is at the centre of Port la Nouvelle. This is a family orientated area. As soon as you leave this area towards the south, the beach becomes a nudist beach. Access is by a sandy trail.
Access to the parkingis at the south end of Boulevard Eschasseriaux. There is access for camping-cars. Further south, there are several accesses to the beach from “chemin de Vignes” (be careful, some people bring cars on to the beach).
