Nord Beach in Torreilles - France

Nord Beach in Torreilles offers a nice stretch of sand with a view of the Pyrenees. We are in the northern zone near Agly River. We find a private beach in this zone.

This sand beach extends to the mouth of the Agly (closest zone to the river allows dogs).

In the summer, this beach is busy depending on the zone, but we can find enough space to lay out our towels.

Behind the dam is the Agly River and southern beach of Barcarès. The environment is completely different. We pass from a totally preserved zone to one that is very urban.

At the edge of the beach we find a few small dunes. The northernmost area has remained wild. Descending toward the center we find many campgrounds.

Along the Agly, near the beach, we find a large free parking lot with a zone for camping cars.

Nord Beach near the first-aid station (first parking lot coming from downtown – near the blockhaus):

Near the first-aid station (zone with blockhaus), the beach extends over several kilometers. In this photo we can see a few buildings in the background. They are located in Port-Barcarès.

The beach goes along toward the south in the same environment. We also find a private beach in this area.

We find two restaurants on this beach.

The edges of this beach are completely wild with a Mediterranean vegetation.

Two free parking lots are available for this beach.
