Grande Plage in Quiberon is a huge sandy beach (800 meters long) facing south opposite Belle-Ile. It stretches between Port Maria (embarkation for Belle-Ile, Houat and Hoedic) and the Casino of Quiberon. This is the first big beach from the Wild Coast (and one of the beaches south of the peninsula of Quiberon).
The overall environment of this beach is nice with beautiful buildings. The beach is monitored in summer. There are accesses for disabled people and a kids club. There are numerous shops and restaurants along the beach. Note that one can swim on this beach both at high tide and at low tide.
To go to this beach, follow the direction of Port Maria. The beach is in the east. It is not easy to park in summer (one should come on foot or by bike). There is a car park next to the harbour, a few places around the casino and a car park on Place Hoche.
