Marinières Beach in Villefranche sur Mer is the largest public beach. Located to the east of the city, this sand and gravel beach offers a great view of Villefranche. It extends over 700 meters. In the middle of the beach is a first-aid station and in the summer this beach is equipped with anti-jellyfish nets. Around this beach is a non-smoking area.
There is no problem parking here! A large parking lot with over 400 places is available, but you'll have to pay to use it. You could also park in the lot along avenue de l'Ange Gardien (it's paying lot with meters that were vandalized when we came...).
We find many snack stands around the parking lot. Shopping in Villefranche is not far! The inconvenience of this beach is the nearby train tracks which can be noisy. Note that some parts of this beach have a mixture of sand and stones. There are also ramps for handicap access.
