There are very few nudist beaches in the Pyrenees-Orientales department. They are concentrated in small seaside resorts. In the larger ones, naturism is prohibited (Canet Beach and St-Cyprien). According to our field survey, there are no naturist beaches on Côte Vermeille (though many smaller coves are discrete and difficult to access).
The areas where you can practice naturism are located in the northern department in the resorts of Torreilles and Sainte-Marie. The beaches are famous for being family oriented.
In the south, a wild beach, monitored in summer, is located in Elne (with a textile area).
If you are in the northern part of the Pyrenees Orientales region, there are a few nearby naturist beaches in the Herault department.
