Prévost Beach in Palavas-les-Flots - France

Our opinion on the Prévost Beach

Prévost Beach in Palavas les Flots is the westernmost beach in this seaside destination. This large sand beach is shared with the neighboring town Villeneuve les Maguelone. It is the most wild beach in town, even if the closest part to town is occupied by a large parking lot. In going a bit farther toward Villeneuve les Maguelone, the environment become very wild between a pond and the Mediterranean.

Note that we find a kitesurfing zone on the right of the first-aid station and the Cathedral of Maguelone. A little train shuttle makes the liaison between the parking lot and the cathedral.

To get to this beach, follow directions for Villeneuve les Maguelone. After the bridge, bypass the camping site before arriving at a large parking lot (4 euros a day in season). Note that in this zone we find a nude beach.

In the summer we find a hut with a restaurant and mattress rentals between the parking lot and campgrounds.
