Olonne sur Mer's Pierres Noires Beach is the southern part of the Sauveterre Beach. This beach is not supervised and signs indicate that it is prohibited. However, it is still nice for sunbathers. It is also a known surf spot. In the summer season, there is a refreshment bar at the entry.
Going south, the beach becomes completely untamed and with almost zero attendance.
To get to this beach from the centre of Olonne sur Mer take direction for Brem sur Mer. After 2.5 km, turn left on the road to the Sea (after Sunêlia La Loubine campsite) then take the road on the right towards the beach until Sauveterre's free parking. Access to the beach is across the car park (signs indicate no swimming).
