Our opinion on the Petit Travers Beach
Petit Travers Beach in Carnon starts near the roundabout called “Petit Travers” going toward La Grande-Motte. From this public sand beach that we find dunes in a wild environment. Access to the different beaches is available from paths in the dunes that separate the route from the beach.
This beach has a lifeguard at access number 80 and is handicap accessible here.
Near access numbers 73 and 74 is a kitesurfing zone that is 200 meters long. This zone is called Grand Travers.
This is one of the most beautiful beaches in Carnon according to Plages.tv. However, in the summer it is very difficult to find parking. There is only space around the ponds, the right side is a bike lane. It is possible to get here by bus.

From this beach we leave the buildings downtown to find a wild dune space. Further we can see the pyramids of La Grande-Motte.

What a beautiful stretch of sand! We are near access number 72.
Near access number 74 is a zone reserved for kitesurfing, right amongst the dunes.
Near access 80 there is a lifeguard station with a parking.
