Mejean Beach in Toulon is composed of gravel and sand that stretches out over around 700 meters. We find a little fishing village with a few typical boats of the region. A nice setting in the shade given off by pines and cedars. Note that we find a lifeguard in the summer as well as restaurants on this beach.
This beach can be accessed from the coastal path from the Mourillon neighborhood in 25 to 30 minutes. A nice walk but it might be difficult with young children.
There is parking at the end of Chemin de la Batterie Basse that gives direct access near the cabanas.
We can also come from Toulon by following directions for Le Pradet, then on Route de la Résistance (before the roundabout) near the restaurant Les Pins Penchés, that signs indicate, is the beginning of the coastal path (non accessible by car – park in the lot after the roundabout. After about 500 meters, you will be at Méjean Beach. It's on the right.
