Before arriving at Garoupe Beach, we find a few little secret creeks along boulevard de la Garoupe. The most interesting beach is called Gardiole Beach and is hidden among private properties and is only accessible by rocks (see photos). It is small but it is not busy since its access is hidden and not indicated on touristic guides. To get here, take a right after the stairs. Having no path, you will have to climb over the rocks. It is not difficult, but may not be convenient for the elderly or handicapped.
Near the stairs we find a sort of beach with concrete and rocks. When we came there was a strong disagreeable odor present. We preferred the surrounding creeks.
Going toward the left, we arrive in a very rocky zone with a few landscaped areas for swimming.
To get to the creeks from Antibes, follow directions for Cap d'Antibes along the seafront. After the Pointe du Bacon, before arriving at Garoupe Beach, facing Boulevard de l'Antiquité (bus stop Relais Jeunesse), we find several stairs that lead to the first beach. Parking is rather difficult, there being only a few places along the boulevard de la Garoupe before arriving at the beach.
