Beaches in Lannion (22300) France - advise, map and photos

Situated in the Côtes d'Armor, department in Brittany, Lannion is an iconic resort of Tregor. It is located on the Pink Granite Coast and offers holiday makers a wide range of activities.

Built in the eleventh century, the town has preserved a rich architectural and cultural heritage. Walking through the village, you can admire the pretty cobbled streets where there are still several half-timbered houses dating from the fifteenth century. The city is also surrounded by fortifications. The churches of Lannion are worth a visit, including that of Brélévenez and Saint-Jean-du-Baly with its square tower. Another curiosity of Lannion, the Léguer, the river that divides the city and feeds the white water stadium, for enthusiasts of kayaking / canoeing. The town is also a seaside resort. There are several beaches in Lannion (Beg Léguer). The main one, that of Beg Léguer offers a preserved landscape. People come here to bathe but also to admire the fabulous sunsets. Mez an Aod Beach (or Maez an Aod) is a little quieter. The nearby beaches of Pleumeur Bodou with its Ile Grande are very nice but tourists generally prefer the beaches of Trébeurden with its Bihit Point and the Island of Milliau that give the opportunity to alternate swimming and family walks. In the south, bordering the beaches of Finistère, the beach of Saint Michel en Greve remains interesting for sports lovers.

Please note that dogs are not allowed on the beaches of Lannion in July and August, tolerated the rest of the year provided they are on a leash.
