The small seaside resort of Camaret-sur-Mer, less than 80 kilometres from Brest, is a very popular family and sportive destination. It is located west of the peninsula of Crozon, and composed of three rocky points: Pen-Hir, Gouin and Toulinguet.
Its preserved heritage is built on a natural site, and one can enjoy the coves and cliffs and discover the sandy beaches of Camaret sur Mer on 25 kilometres of coastline. "Tas de Pois" and "Roche du Lion" are must-see sites to discover during walks. Pen-Hat Beach is wide and wild. It is a surf spot and a semaphore overlooks it but baïnes often prevent people from swimming. Trez-Rouz means "red sand" and allows one to fish on foot and offers many quiet places. Hikers, making the Grand Tour of Camaret, a well-known path, will stop on the beaches of Veryac'h and Kerloc'h, in Dinan Cove with Crozon.
To discover the military heritage of the town, nothing like the Route of the fortifications, a journey full of history around the 200 fortifications of the peninsula, from prehistoric times to the present day! Nearby, one can visit the beaches of Crozon, some of which straddle the municipality of Camaret.
