Fréjus is a major seaside resort in the Var in France and has two large sandy beaches (divided into several areas). The first one, near the center of Fréjus and close to St-Raphael, stretches on Boulevard d'Alger and Boulevard de la Liberation. This beach is mostly public (a few restaurants and private beaches) and has a beautiful view of the harbour and St. Raphael. The second one stretches after Port-Fréjus, along the nature base and towards Saint-Aygulf. It very pleasant for families as it is far away from the road. So there are several kilometres of sandy beaches in Fréjus.
Many restaurants, cafes, and shops line up from St. Raphael to Port-Fréjus, along the waterfront. There are also a few beach restaurants. In summer, the waterfront turns into a real market with lots of craftsmen. Port-Fréjus is the liveliest, with many restaurants and boutiques around the port. A gateway leads from one side to the other. The nature base is very green with many facilities for walking or playing sports. A large swimming pool is also available. The beaches of Saint-Aygulf are at the end of the nature base (not possible to walk because of the river Argens). The beaches in St Raphael are opposite and has a more varied environment between sandy beaches and small coves.
One can also go to the famous beaches of St Tropez for the day or relax in the Esterel.
