Debarquement Beach (Landing Beach) in Saint Raphael is named after the Allied landing in August 1944. It is covered in sand on the upper part of the beach and big pebbles on the lower part (at the water's edge - the pebbles are grey while in this area they are usually red). The view of Ile d’Or from this beach is very beautiful (also called the Island of Tintin - completely private).
To get to this beach from the center of St-Raphael, go in the direction of Agay to Dramont and follow the signs to the landing beach. A big car park is available.
One can also reach Cap Dramont from this beach by the coastal path to Camp Long d’Agay Beach (beautiful beach in a sheltered bay).
