Beaches in Nice (06000) France - advise, map and photos

Only forty kilometers from the Italian border, Nice offers the largest number of beaches on the French Riviera. From the airport of Nice to the west of Nice to the open air theater, 3.8 kilometers of beaches stretch out along the promenade des Anglais. The Paillon interrupts this long stone alley for a few meters after the Quai des Etats-Unis along old Nice for about 900 meters. From this side, in the summer, a small artificial sand beach is made.

To the east of Nice, we also find spaces for swimming (large rocks with ladders to get to the sea).

Note that the beaches do have lifeguards, but only around the different lifeguard stations.

Nice is also one of the most animated cities on the French Riviera with its Old City and many restaurants, pubs, cafes along the Saleya court and in the little streets. From the hill of the chateau, a nice view opens to the Baie des Anges (Angels Bay).

If you're looking for sand beaches, you should go to the west of the department starting with the beaches of Antibes, which mark the border between sand and stones.
