Ponchettes Beach is located facing Old Nice, between the beaches of Opera dn Castel. This beach is public and is made of stones (with the exception of the beach volleyball court where there is some sand where you can lay your towel, though space is limited). A space for beach volleyball is available during the summer (the rest of the year we can use it as a beach). Near the old city, this beach is one of the busiest during the summer.
It is very difficult to park here. We must go to the parking lot in cours Saleya or the parking lot at the harbor of Nice (a 10 minute walk). Bike and bus are the best ways to get to this beach.
Note that you must descend about twenty steps to get to the beach (see photo).
The beach has a lifeguard in the summer and a first-aid station can be found nearby.
