Our opinion on the Roquille Beach

Roquille Beach in Cape d'Agde is located to the northeast of downtown and the harbor. Nearby is a mini-harbor and the pond of Roquille. This sand beach stretches to Môle Beach along a nice pedestrian promenade (we also find a bike lane).

This beach is divided into two zones. The northern part has a lifeguard in the summer and a first-aid station and handicap access. This zone is best for swimming. Toward Môle Beach we find a more wild beach with rocks and a few trees in the background. However, swimming is impossible for there are many large rocks in the water.

We are near the first-aid station, looking toward the beaches of Marseillan.

Access to the Roquille beach in Cape d'Agde

We find handicap access near the first-aid station.

A nice wooden walk is allows access from this beach to Môle Beach (toward Cape d'Agde harbor). Between the two beaches is a narrow area and we find many rocks in the water.

The edge of this beach is wild. This zone does not have a lifeguard and is not ideal for swimming due to large rocks near the shore.

It is disappointing that the wonderful beaches along this coast have been invaded and colonized by deplorable commercial developments which totally contradict your promotional images of the resort. What a pity that so much effort and money has been used to ensure that the surrounding areas are preserved in their natural state, yet you have given the beaches and the harbour, with its ugly wheel, the american look. You should stop airbrushing out these blots on your landscape when publishing the pristine look of the environment and at least be honest with your customers.
