Our opinion on the Grande Conque Beach
Grande Conque Beach in Cape d'Agde is found between la plagette and Mole Beach near the cliffs. With its high volcanic cliffs and its grey sand, this beach is very original and offers a wild setting near downtown. You can access this beach by stairs that have been dug into the cliff (see the last photo). Even if it is sought out, we can usually find a spot to lay out our towels even in the middle of summer (about 200 meters long).
The easiest way to get here is to park in the lot called Fortin, then follow the path along the sea (about a 5 minute walk). The beach is indicated by signs.

Grande Conque is found in the foreground of this photo at the foot of the cliffs. Further off, we see Sète.
This beach is made up of grey sand which is very rare in France.
To the right, we find rocks near the point with pebbles.
With its grey sand and high cliffs, the setting of this beach is very original.
Coming from Mole beach, by the coastal path, there are several nice views of Grande Conque.
This beach is accessible by stairs (passage in the cliffs).
