Our opinion on the Guen - Lanruen Beach

Guen Beach (or Lanruen Beach) in Erquy is one of the most beautiful beaches in Brittany. Its semi-wilderness nature is due to the surrounding dense and beautiful vegetation, and the dunes; but also due to the fact that it is absolutely devoid of any equipment and relatively far from the city centre. It is a good pick for those who love a free beach. The western part is the wildest; the central part is a little more urbanized because of the ​​Lanruen estate. One also comes at low tide for fishing on foot. A hiking trail leads to the west of the Cape of Erquy in beautiful landscapes. In the east, one reaches the port of the Hospitals and one can even reach at low tide the small resort of Sables d'Or les Pins.

This beach is easily accessible by car. There are two car parks. The nearest beach is located in the central part at Lanruen (from the center of Erquy, take the street and the road of the Hospitals, turn left on rue Mare des Noës and left on avenue Lanruen). For the wild part, there is free car park 5 minutes from the beach (access by rue des Plages Sauvages then avenue Leon Hamonet).
