Our opinion on the Montiers Beach
Montiers Beach in Erquy, a beautiful beach overlooked by tourist guides (or Champ du port Beach, Hopitaux Beach, named after the nearby hamlet) has many advantages. Especially at high tide when the boats of the port are afloat. At low tide, it's a great place for fishing and taking long walks up the course of the Islet. It is far from the tourist beaches west of the town. A slipway launches any kinds of watercraft.
To get to this beach from the center of Erquy, take the D34 in the direction of Sables d’Or. After exiting the seaside road, take rue des Hôpitaux. At the village of the Hôpitaux, take rue St Michel towards the beach and the municipal campsite of St Michel. At the campsite entrance, the beach is on the right towards the port).

The environment remained totally natural. It is perfect for lovers of authenticity.
There are great sandy areas at low tide.
Some areas are sandy at high tide, others covered in pebbles.
Erquy Beach is on the right and Sables d’Or les Pins is on the left.
It is ideal for taking long walks and fishing on foot ... not as well known as the Cape of Erquy.
A boat launch is rudimentary but sufficient.
This is a succession of several beaches. The one closest to the port of the Hospitals (right side) is the most sheltered from the winds.
The part near the port is the most sheltered but not necessarily the most comfortable due to many pebbles.
Amateur fishing is a favourite activity throughout the year.
The marina is also significant in this small town.
