Kerlouan Beach

Kerlouan's Location in Brittany

  • Phone tourist office :Display phone
  • You will find 11 beaches in Kerlouan :11 sandy beaches and and 7 creeks.

A stone's throw from the seaside resort of Brignogan-Plage, in North Finistère, the village of Kerlouan is located two kilometres as the crow flies from the sea. Its coastline has remained remarkably untouched.

There are numerous beaches in Kerlouan, most of which are made up of sand and granulite (large rocks). They are expansive and count among the most beautiful beaches in northern Brittany. There are also beaches on the estuary of Tresseny (however, swimming is only possible at high tide, at low tide you can go sand yachting).

Along the seaside and close to two beautiful beaches, there is the hamlet of Ménéham (an old fishing village, rehabilitated from 2004 onwards) which nowadays encompasses an inn, a museum, artisans' workshops and a shop (open all year round) as well as a former guard post hidden among the rocks.

Just a few kilometres from Kerlouan, the beaches of Brignogan offer more traditional and seaside environments. Those seeking open spaces will head towards Plougoulm (where the coastline has remained completely wild).
