Our opinion on the Niolon Beach
The small port of Niolon is located in the town of Le Rove. Enclosed between cliffs, this small village has no official beach where swimming is allowed. However, one can swim a little everywhere in summer, including in the small sand beach on the left inside the port. On the right, there are also some very popular areas to cool down. The seabed of Niolon is unusually beautiful.
To drive to Niolon, one must go to Estaque, and then take the road to Rove and the D5 towards Niolon. Caution, it is very difficult to move inside Niolon (virtually no parking, only a small car park after the station). In summer, access is impossible. It is better to take the train, which stops 500 meters from the port. It is the starting point for chemin des Douaniers.
Note that dogs on leash are allowed on this small beach.
