Our opinion on the Grande Plage
This is THE BEACH! All the equipment and almost all the leisure activities are present on this large beach in Damgan, except for sand yachting and kitesurfing. Over 4 km long, facing south, backed by a very well thought-out promenade, you can practice water sports whether you are a beginner or an expert. Bars, restaurants, games for children... Not to mention a nearby town with its shops. Perhaps a certain originality is missing from the decor. Perhaps some vegetation would improve the aesthetics. But recent plantings are likely to improve things in a few years. Beware, parking can sometimes be tricky during the season.

"Grande" beach in all its dimensions: not only is it long, but it is wide in places.
The beach benefits from two nautical centers.
Catamaran, optimist, board...
All levels cross here, without problem given the size of the body of water.
Some exotic plantings will try to vegetate a rather mineral landscape for now.
A beautiful pedestrian walkway, cycles, but parking spaces fragmented by property entrances. Not easy to find a place in August.
The eastern limit is the painted bunker that can be seen in the background. Behind it is the Landrézac beach.
The lifeguard station and supervised swimming area are in this eastern part, as well as the volleyball nets.
A bar is prominently displayed on the beach, the restaurants are more towards the back in the town.
To whet the appetite, you can always fall back on churros. Behind, a playground for children.
