Beaches in Mesquer (44420) France - advise, map and photos

The seaside resort of Mesquer located on the peninsula of Guérande, on the edge of the oyster farm of the Traict of Pen Bé, is appreciated by the holidaymakers for its numerous monuments and its very rich fauna in the marshes. Note that Mesquer is divided into three boroughs: Quimiac on the shores of the Atlantic Ocean, Kercabellec and the town of Mesquer facing the Traict of Mesquer / Pen Bé.

From the port of Kercabellec, at the Merquel point, passing the beaches of Mesquer Quimiac, there are lots of activities to enjoy the benefits of the sea air in a preserved and quiet environment. The 13 kilometres of beaches and coves offer diverse landscapes and a great number of opportunities for all types of holiday-makers. Lanséria, the Moulin, the Cabonnais, the Languy, the Sorlock and the Epis are all swimming and shore fishing areas. The beaches of Sorlock and Lanséria each year organise great sand castles contests. Note that these last two are supervised in the summer season. Note that there are beaches at the tract of Merquel and the port of Kercabellec but swimming is not recommended because of muddy soil (as well as the shellfish parks).

The town also offers many hiking trails, in the beautiful landscapes of the marshes of Quimiac and Lany, towards the island of Rostu to discover the old villages or in the backcountry of Mesquer and near the lake of Trévigale.

A trail also allows you to walk along the rocky coast between Piriac sur Mer and Mesquer, the opportunity to stumble upon small secret beaches! Nearby is the resort of Assérac which is the last town before Brittany.
