Beaches in Sartène (20100) France - advise, map and photos

The tall fortifies houses in the mountains give a mysterious feel to Sartène when we approach the town. This village in the south of Corsica, capital of Rocca, has a rich history – it had been pillaged and devastated many times – that we can discover around of it mountainous streets. Those who love prehistory will be taken back by the beautiful pieces that remain here like the rows of I Stantari and Rinaiu, the menhirs of Palaggiu and the most important of the Mediterranean with 258 stones, or the dolmen of Fontanaccia.

The city has several treasures, like the Echauguette tower and the Bradi passage that creates a link between the old and new cities. Surrounded by bush and vineyards, Sartène has a coast of 33 kilometers that extends from Campomoro to Rocapina. Argent Beach is the main beach but we can also opt for those of Barcaju and Cala Longa, Avena the more peaceful or Roccapina. The different beaches of Sartène are not always easy to get to. They are among the most beautiful beaches in Corsica and especially the most wild. The coast is steep and rugged. This place is ideal for hikers and lovers of wild Corsica. And why not discover the surrounding areas, Propriano, Olmeto and Campomoro, real paradises where we can practice scuba diving and other nautical sports? At the extreme south, the beaches of Bonifacio offer a great diversity.
