Beaches in Le Porge (33681) France - advise, map and photos

Located between Médoc and the Bassin d'Arcachon, Le Porge is located in an enchanting setting, between ocean and forest and well protected by the dunes. It offers a great number of bicycle trails and forest paths, perfect for discovering nature. This area is not lacking in activities – surfers benefit from long, fine sand beaches all year long, and preserved spaces are great for tourists seeking nature. The village has an old-world, authentic charm and the surrounding areas prohibit the use of motor vehicles, creating a relaxing environment for vacationers. We find two large beaches in Le Porge: Gressier which is well known, and Jenny which is more natural and has a nudist zone. Note that the seaside of Le Porge Ocean is very natural with only a few shops open only during the summer.

Le Porge is located ten minutes from the Bassin d'Arcachon. A stop-over there will give you the chance to discover the riches of the region. Families will appreciate the beaches of Arès, Andernos-les-Bains or Lanton. Cap-Ferret offers a more laid-back lifestyle and there are many beaches where the waters of the Bassin meet with those of the ocean. Arcachon and the dune de Pyla are mandatory visits when you are in the area. The view from the top is exceptional at 117 meters and is simply breathtaking. Ile aux Oiseaux in the center of the Bassin will charm lovers of nature and ornithology! To the north we find the beaches of Lacanau-Océan which are accessible by bicycle trail.
