Beaches in La Baule-Escoublac (44500) France - advise, map and photos

Stuck between the salt marshes of Guérande and the Loire region, the seaside resort of La Baule has become one of the stars of the Loire-Atlantique department and Southern Brittany in France. Its waterfront is taken by storm on sunny days.

There is a beautiful sandy beach along the waterfront, described by some as one of the most beautiful beaches in Europe. The team of Plages.tv won’t go up there for several reasons. In our opinion, the succession of buildings on the waterfront (no appeal) and the proximity of the road on 80% of the beach take away much of the benefit of this beach (only Benoit beach has a pedestrian seafront). On the other hand, the seaside resort of La Baule is interesting concerning equipment and activities on the beach. The destination is therefore perfect for families with children (many beach clubs) or for those wishing to enjoy water activities (many sailing clubs). However, it will not suit those looking for a wild area!

The beaches of Pornichet and Pouliguen are border areas. They offer more diversity. The peninsula of Guérande is also a nice place to go for a stroll or to enjoy the beaches of La Turballe and Croisic.
