Our opinion on the Viva Beach
Viva Beach in Porticcio is the main beach of the seaside resort on the Gulf of Ajaccio. Located in the city centre, it stretches on 2 km of fine sand from the pier to the Capitello tower and the mouth of Prunelli. It is located next to Ricanto Beach in Ajaccio.
There are several areas on this beach. The southern part is very family-oriented with many tourist activities. There is also in this area an aid station open in summer. Further back north towards Ajaccio, the beach is wilder. There is a naturist beach at the Capitello Tower.
There are many water activities one can do on this beach. On windy days, large rollers may appear on this beach (especially in the northern part).
There are several car parks near the beach on the RD55 (southern part of the beach). To the north, there is a car park near the pond of Casavone.

This long sandy beach in Porticcio stretches north towards Ajaccio and the Capitello tower that we can see on this picture in the centre.
This beach is family-oriented in the centre of Ajaccio, and has an aid station, a sailing school and restaurants. This is the busiest area.
This sandy beach overlooks the Gulf of Ajaccio and offers a beautiful view of Ajaccio and the Iles Sanguinaires.
The view of the tip of Porticcio is beautiful from this beach, where there are a few more wild beaches.
