The beach of Vanga di l’Oru in Santa Maria Poggio is located between Moriani-Beach (at north) and the port of Taverna (at south). The nearest beach of the city center is bordered by a pine forest but seems totally unsuable because of the presence of many rocks and concrete slabs (furthermore pebble beach). On the left, we find a sandy beach which makes the junction with Moriani-Beach passing through several campsites. This area is a little more pleasant.

To get to this beach from San-Nicolao, take the direction of the south by the N198. 200 meters after the junction of the D334 (direction of Santa Maria Poggio), take on the left at the level of Vanga di l’Oru. There are parkings.

The nearest area of Port Taverna (that we guess in the background of this picture) is totally inexploitable : pebble, rocks, concrete slabs. Serious erosion problems in this area.
