Our opinion on the Truc Vert Beach
Cap-Ferret’s Truc Vert Beach is the second beach under lifeguard supervision, coming from Lège. It is located on the peninsula of Cap-Ferret, on the Forest road near the hamlet of Piraillan (located beside the Arcachon Bay). This large sandy beach has several accesses but only one has a lifeguard station (clearly indicated by a large blue sign: Truc Vert Beach supervised from 01 July to 31st August – at the Petit Pickey). Parking is in front of the sign. There are also a restaurant and a sandwich bar close by.

This large sandy beach is located on the forest road between the villages of Grand Pickey and Piraillan.
Towards the Point of Cap Ferret, this beach extends as far as eye can see. There is a highly developed dune area.
A landscaped board walk among the dunes close to the lifeguard station.
From the forest road, the path give access to the beach via the forest of “Lège et Garonne”.
The landscaped board walk facilitates the crossing of the dunes.
The path way is long as you can see with this view of Lège forest.
