Our opinion on the South Beach
South Beach in Carcans is located near avenue de l'Ocean near downtown. This immense sand beach extends over several kilometers all the way to the downtown beach (about 100 meters away) and to Lacanau-Océan to the south. We can find several high dunes in this area.
We can practice sand yachting and surfing on this beach. At the foot of this dune, near the parking lot, we find restaurants and snack bars and shops. Showers are available at the top of the dune and there are toilets near the parking lot.
A large free parking lot is available. Stairs lead the beach from the dunes.

This vast beach extends over several kilometers. We are on the dunes.
To the left, there are huge dunes. The sand continues as far as we can see toward Lacanau-Ocean.
This beach is accessible by crossing the dunes, visible to the left of the photo.
This path leads to the beach.
At the foot of the dune, near the parking lot, we find several shops and restaurants. You can climb the dune thanks to a paved path.
