Our opinion on the South Beach
South Beach in Argelès-sur-Mer is located next to the harbor on the left bank, near downtown. It is a large sand beach that is a continuation of the large beaches of Argelès-sur-Mer. It offers a nice view of the Cote Vermeille and of the Baie de Collioure that we can see. In the summer there is a lifeguard here between Rue Surcouf and Rue Gerbault. It is crowded in the summer.
To get to this beach, you will find several parking lots near the harbor (on each side of D81). We can also park in the lot on rue Grau. In the summer, parking spots are hard to find, but they are free!

We are on one of the last sand beaches in the Atlantic Pyrenees before finding the little creeks. We are getting closer to the beaches of Collioure.
