Our opinion on the Rayol Beach
Rayol beach in Rayol-Canadel offers the same configuration as Canadel beach with, in the centre, a rock separating the beach into two areas. There are several private beaches on both areas. The public area is larger on the right side. The monitoring station is in the centre. It is a very pleasant beach with decent attendance even in summer.
To get to the beach from Le Lavandou, follow the departmental road. Pass through the place known as Canadel, and then turn right at the large bend (no indication, just a sign indicating that you have reached Le Grand Bleu - there is a bus stop just before). Follow this road for several hundred meters. There is a free car park on the left near the beach as well as parking spaces along the road.

Rayol beach is separated into two areas by a rock formation, like Canadel beach nearby. There are several private beaches and public areas on both sides.
A hotel overlooks the beach on the left. The end is public and quieter. The access is through stairs (visible on this picture).
We are here in the public area during the week of August 20 in the early afternoon. There is no problem finding a parking space.
Several private beaches with restaurants are available.
There is a monitoring station in the centre, perched on a rock.
There is a beach volleyball court with games for children at the entrance of the beach.
There is free car park only a few meters away from the beach.
