Our opinion on the Parée du Jonc Beach
Paree du Jonc Beach is located north of the resort of Saint Jean de Monts. Take the direction for Notre Dame de Monts. The environment is totally natural on this beach but is very crowded in the summer season because of the several large campsites that are nearby. The beach is supervised in the summer season and you can practice sailing. It is also adapted for people with reduced mobility (no dune to cross, quite rare in the area on the untamed beaches). Dogs on a leash are allowed on this beach.
It is 6 km from the centre of Saint-Jean-de-Monts. Take the D36 towards Notre Dame and turn left after 2 km at the restaurant “Au Vieux Faitout”. After the campsite, take the “route de la Rive” on the right for 1 km then turn left following the signs for the beach.

Like the nearby Davière Beach, access to this beach is easy (no dune to cross and parking is next to the access). Down the road, we see the lifeguard station.
On both sides, the environment is untamed with beautiful sand dunes.
