Our opinion on the North Beach
Montalivet les Bains’s North Beach offers a more natural environment while being close to the city centre. In direction for Vensac, the beach is uncrowded and the dunes start to be very high. Unfortunately, in this area, swimming is not under lifeguard supervision and it can be very dangerous because of the currents.
To reach the beach from the seafront, take the direction of Vensac dunes via D102E1. The first access is at the end of Montalivet (near Général Leclerc Boulevard) and the second at the intersection of “route de l’Océan”.

We are at the beginning of the North Beach of Montalivet, near the city centre. From there and up to the beach and Vensac, there are high dunes. This is an environmentally protected area.
