Our opinion on the Maupas Beach
Maupas Beach in La Tranche sur Mer is the nautical zone of the seaside destination. Here we find the pond of Maupas where we can practice numerous water sports. The beach is located in front of the pond, but the zone is reserved for nautical sports, therefore swimming is not advised in this area.
We also find a pier for getting to the island of Charente-Maritime (Ile de Ré, Oléron and Aix).
Several large parking lots are available (about 800 places).

This beach is to the east of downtown and is reserved for water sports. The beach is to the left of the pier.
We can see the Maupas pond here where people come to practice nautical activities.
Here are the different nautical installations in La Tranche.
From this dock we can go to Ile de Ré, Oléron and Aix.
The beach to the right of the pier is a swimming zone. You'll find Centrale Beach if you continue.
In the background we can see Central Beach.
