Our opinion on the Maubuisson Beach - Lake
Maubuisson Beach is the main beach of Lake Carcans. It is located in downtown Maubuisson (hamlet of Carcans), this fine sand beach has a lifeguard in the summer. We find several shops, restaurants and cafes around. It is ideal for kids because swimming is more secure than in the ocean. Note that this is a freshwater lake.
To get here from Carcans-Océan, follow D207 (avenue de l'Océan) toward Maubuisson. Once you arrive in the hamlet, near the esplanade, we find the beach. Several parking places are available.

We are in downtown Maubuisson near the cafes and restaurants. We find a beautiful sand beach bordering Lake Carcans.
On the right side, along the beach, is a nice pedestrian promenade.
Near the first-aid station of Lake Carcans, there is a wooden path that facilitates access for the handicapped.
In the summer, the first-aid station is open assuring lifeguards on the beach.
Behind the beach are many restaurants and cafes.
