Our opinion on the Lafiténia Beach
Lafiténia Beach in Saint Jean de Luz is a large sand beach stretching over 500 meters. It is one of the favorite beaches of confirmed surfers on the Basque coast. It is therefore not a very agreeable beach for swimming. Nevertheless, in the summer, this public beach has a lifeguard.
Accessible from a path in junction with the paths Aguenia and Kokolia where we find a parking lot and a playground for kids. Note that this path is very steep for 100 meters and could be difficult for some. We also find several campgrounds in this area of St Jean de Luz (neighborhood d'Acotz).

This vast sand beach in St Jean de Luz is very appreciated by surfers.
The waves are imposing in this area.
This beach in located below a cliff. We found that the steep access was may too steep for some to easily descend.
The path to this beach is steep. We can see the lifeguarding station on the left. The right part is prohibited due to the risk of falling rocks.
At the top, in the parking lot, we find a children's playground.
