La Barre des Monts Grande Côte Beach is the most untamed beach of the resort near the city of Fromentine. This vast sandy beach extends for several kilometres. It is bordered by the Pays de Monts forest and offers a beautiful view of the island of Noirmoutier in the north. However, it is not supervised, be careful.

The area near the Goulet of Fromentine is the most popular because there are several campsites nearby. For more peace and quiet, you have to go further south.

To get to this beach from the centre of La Barre de Monts, take the road of the Grande Côte where you will find the beach’s car park.

On the left, the beach stretches for several kilometres towards Notre Dame de Monts. It is bordered by the Pays de Monts forest. This is an area where you can practice sand yachting (school near the car park).
