Our opinion on the Grande Conche Beach
Grande Conche is located south of Ile-d’Yeu between the tips of Sablière and Corbeaux (Ravens). There are about 2 km of white sand bordered by small dunes. The environment is very much preserved. The northern part of the beach and up to the blockhouse is very family-oriented. A few naturists attend the southern part, up to the tip of the Corbeaux.
In summer, there is on this beach an area reserved for kite surfing (at New Fort, at the tip of the Corbeaux). This is the only beach where this water activity is allowed in July and August (the rest of the year one can practice kite surfing on all the beaches of the island).
Several trails allow us to reach this beach. On the north side, there are several accesses on Ilias path. To the south, access is at the end of Corbeaux Road.
