Our opinion on the Grande Beach
Grande Beach in Port-Barcarès (also called Portes du Roussillon Beach) is located between the ship (Le Lydia) and Lido. The immense sand beach is located in an environment exempt from construction and we have the impression of being in the middle of nature even though downtown is located nearby.
As always, it is not easy to park in Port-Barcarès in the middle of summer. We find a parking lot near Place du Paquebot des Sables. We can also park around the memorial on avenue du Lido then cross the dunes that are equipped with landscaped paths.

A nice stretch of sand from the ship to the north all the way to the harbor of Saint-Ange.
We are at the beginning of Grande Beach coming from downtown. We find a large sand beach in a very preserved environment.
To the right of the photo we can see the edge of the beach that is made up of mini dunes. There are no constructions nearby.
To the left we can see Le Lydia.
