Galères Beach in Locmaria - France

Our opinion on the Galères Beach

East-northeast, one should deserve Galères Beach in Belle Ile en Mer (Locmaria), composed of many secluded coves at high tide. On the coastal road from Le Palais, find on the right the arrowed turnoff for "Kerdonis". At this point turn left into the smashed dirt road; follow it somehow to a small parking area overlooking the sea. Continue on foot to the coastal path on the right, where it goes down to a wooded valley, a passage opening towards the middle of the beach, far less accessible by the way.

Very sunny the first three quarters of the day, the waters are also very clear and full of fish if one can find a good rock to put one’s cane down. Many coves have made it a favourite site for naturism, but it is far from being an exclusively naturist beach. In the evening, shade rapidly gains ground, but there are still small sunny plots. It is a very nice place to feel alone in the world in its creek, or in a community on the vast central part.
