Our opinion on the Galere Beach
Galère (meaning “hassle” in French) Beach in Bormes les Mimosas, wears its name well! It is one of the most beautiful beaches, but is very difficult to access by foot. We are across from Fort Bregançon in a paradisiac area. On the left we find a little private harbor. In the water (mostly on the left) the rocks bring a rather paradisiac island feel. Around the beach is private property.
To get here, the easiest way is to park at Bregançon then walk along the shore. Several difficult passages and big rocks are ahead. This is the second beach and is across from the fort and recognizable thanks to its little harbor. The simplest way to get here is by boat.

Look at the crystal color of the water. The environment is very preserved with a dense pine forest (private property – no access).
Coming to this beach by foot is a real headache! You have to get over the rocks on the left of the photo!

From this beach we have a great view of the fort.
In the middle we can see Ile du Levant and behind the pinewood is Reine Jeanne Beach which is just as beautiful as this beach.
To us this is one of the most beautiful beaches in Bormes les Mimosas. The difficult access is worth the prize!
