Our opinion on the Folacca Beach
Folacca beach in Porto-Vecchio is located south of the Bay of Palombaggia between the beaches of Acciaju and Tamaricciu. Bordered to the south by the Acciaju pond, it stretches to the tip of Colombara in a tropical paradise. In the north, the beach is very narrow. There are several huts in the southern part.
Be careful, when the wind comes from the east, the sea can be very rough. We can take refuge on the nearby beach of Acciaju, which is better protected.
To get to this beach from Porto-Vecchio, take the direction of Bonifacio by the N198 and turn left after the roundabout towards Bocca Di l'Oru (do not follow the direction of Piccovagia, it is longer). Follow the road for 4.8 km towards Palombaggia. After the bend, turn right into the Acciaghju car park (also shown in huts). Follow the road on the left. Paid car park in summer.

You can better overlook this beach from the tip of Colombara (Tamariccio protected area).
Access is through the south side (at the Acciaju pond). You can reach it through a footpath crossing the edge of Acciaju beach.
The beach stretches over several hundred meters in the direction of the pine tip (famous, found on every postcard).
There are several private beaches in this area with restaurants and a diving club.
The beach is narrower in the north (Tamaricciu beach is located after the tip).
There is a car park (paid in July and August) at the pond (direct access to the beach).
