Esclamandes Beach in Saint-Aygulf - France

Our opinion on the Esclamandes Beach

Esclamandes Beach is the biggest sand beach in Saint-Aygulf. It is located at the exit of St Aygulf going toward Fréjus on the Corniche d'Azur. A large parking lot (paying in season) is available.

This beach is divided into four zones (see the map): a zone familial, a nudist zone, a zone reserved for kitesurfing, and a zone reserved for dogs.

The zone closest to the parking lot is familial with three beautiful bays protected by dams. This part can be a bit noisy due to the proximity of the route. For more tranquility, we advise you to go to the east of this beach (pay attention in the middle of the pond as this zone becomes nudist) where the road is further from the beach since the beach is protected.

The nudist part of the beach starts in the center of the Villepey pond. It is the calmest area of this beach. It is accessible from the parking lot by going along the seafront or from the edge of the parking lot (the closest part to Fréjus) then by taking the coastal path from the natural ponds of Villepey. This beach is the most beautiful nudist area in the department of Var.

Beyond the nudist zone, toward Fréjus, we find a kitesurfing zone where swimming is prohibited. It extends to the stream Argens (note that this area is sought out by fishermen). This stream creates the border with Fréjus where we find the Pacha Fréjus Beach (not accessible by foot).
